Kartik Lauds India's Bowling Attack for Dominating England Despite Series Deficit
Despite trailing 1-2 in the five-match series against England after a narrow 22-run defeat at Lord's, former Indian spinner Murali Kartik is deeply impressed by the fiery passion and discipline exhibited by the Indian bowling unit.

Speaking to Cricbuzz, Kartik commended the bowlers for their resilience under pressure, particularly in challenging overseas conditions. He emphasized the team's unity and fighting spirit.
"One thing that stood out for me is how this young Indian side — under a new captain, in a series people are calling a transition phase — showed such intensity," Kartik stated. "What happened at Lord’s, with just two overs left and only one bowled, there was so much heat and emotion. But the Indian players did not let that fire die. Everyone was united, fired up, in the face of the batters."
He further elaborated on the palpable intensity displayed by the Indian team. "You could feel that heat. It looked like all of them together were ready to tear the opposition apart. The passion they brought, especially at a place like Lord’s, stood out. It didn’t matter what people thought — what mattered was that they were all in."
Kartik also highlighted the Indian bowlers' ability to induce false shots from the English batsmen, even in their home conditions. "The number of false shots they’ve induced is remarkable. These are England batters who train here and know the conditions. But India’s bowlers played with passion, with concentration, and really forced mistakes. That was impressive."
The Indian pace trio has been at the forefront of the attack thus far. Mohammed Siraj currently leads the series with 13 wickets, followed by Jasprit Bumrah with 12 and Akash Deep with 11.
With the fourth Test scheduled to commence on July 23 in Manchester, India will rely on their energized attack to level the series.
